ArtTalks: LeLong Parfum Exhibit

Studded embellishments #totallyobsessed
Who: Parfums Lucien Lelong
What: Perfume Exhibit
Where: FIDM Museum

Before expanding his brand into the perfume and beauty industry designer Lucien Lelong was one of the leading and forward french couturier's of the 20th Century. His contemporaries were none other than Chanel, Worth, Patou, and one of my favorites Madame Schiaparelli.
The House of Lelong  became the training ground for luminaries like, Christian Dior, Hubert de Givenchy, Pierre Balmain, and Jean Ebel. While in 1949 the design house closed its doors, the perfume business continued to thrive for 100 years. The exhibition covers three decades of the brands products,   marketing campaigns, and illustrations.

Of course I was #totallyobsessed with the stud and glitter embellishments on the packaging as well as all those accents of gold. For sure if I had a beauty or fragrance line I would have gold draped, wrapped, studded on as many details as possible.  No matter if its packaged with pretty pastels, jewel tones, or basic black, there is something very dominating yet feminine about adding a touch of gold.
